As I said in my introduction a few weeks ago I brought the 1990 K100LT and had a friend of a friend etc etc ride it down from Auckland, over 400kms. ($260 for bike courier would have been a better choice) He crashed it and caused a load of damage to the fairing, new $350 windscreen smashed, rear wheel (bent) K100LT repair 167893 . So I have spent the past few weeks repairing her. I purchased a second hand rear wheel, indicator lens, brake/tail lens, second hand windscreen. The nose cone was badly damaged but the lower right side fairing was a real mess. I have never done any fibre glassing before so was a interesting challenge. I completed all the fibre glassing, sanded for hours, matched some paint, painted, clear coated (all with cans). I'm reasonably happy with the outcome.
While I was working on it a gave it a good clean up, repaired Hazard warning switch, added a LED driving light and LED park light, used spare LED driving light in tail lens, cut circuit in half and now have LEDs each side in tail light.
So it's a work in progress. Rolling Eyes

Had my first real ride today to get to know her, went great, did over 70kms on open road round town, been over 20yrs since I last rode.
Anyway here are some pics. Shocked

Hope your mate was ok, Responder. The k came back well from it. Good job on the paint. Have you any details/pics on the tail light LED job?
