Hello All,

I was just wondering,

my "86 k100 RT has the front signall lights in the fairing.
I also see other (newer) models with their signal lights in the mirrors
(see here )

Can these mirrrors (easily) be fittid on my machine?

Did anybody tried this yet?

reason i'm askin is that this is a nice way to add strobe light for passing traffic jams cheers

The signal light in the mirror is on the K100RS and the RT has them in the fairing and the clips to hold the mirror on are very different.
So in a word or two, not easily

Hi Amster - it's amazing how many times you run an idea through your head only to log onto the forum and see someone half a world away is having the same thoughts!

I was looking at k100 and k1100 mirrors only last night. Not for the strobe idea but to see if the spacers (later model) on the RS could me used to push the mirrors out a bit so I'm not looking at my elbows. I came to the conclusion that the mountings are entirely different so Rick G is spot on (as usual Wink ).

How about attaching slimline strobes to the underside of the mirror pods?

Hello Rick G,

Thank you for your quick reply.
Since i don't have access to all the varieties of the K model, I’m glad i got my ideas tested in this Forum.Laughing

88KE, i don't like the idea of attaching of anything outside the fairing
So i even stick my elbows in my side for the ride Signal light in fairing and mirror 2410925020

Maybe i fit some under the headlight

<p>

So do I but they're still outside the fairing Embarassed I guess I'm just kind of....eh...wide Laughing

When you say "strobe" do you mean flashing (which would be illegal for on road use here and in most of Europe I think )? Or do you mean constantly on (Like Daytime Running Lights)?

If it's the running lights do a search for LED on the portal page and you will find plenty of examples of upgrades done by members. Hope this is helpful.

Hello 88

I've a pair of strobe lights like These

When they are orange they can be used.
In the Netherlands we cannot run them with a blue cap on it.
The orange one are used by road workers as well
