The list of vehicles shown seem to be carburettor models, not fuel injection.  I suspect this pump wouldnt give the pressure required for FI.

Just guessing though. Someone else might know more about this pump.

It's a roller cell pump but the inlet is not right. You need one that the pre filter connects directly to the bottom of the pump
try EME and you can see what they look like http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=fuel+pump but you will get a better price on ebay

The list includes some Peugeot 205 GTi and also some Saab injected engines. The flow rate is ok but not sure about the pressure but I was told somewhere and I think it was this forum that the 205Gti fuel pump works. Certainly cheap for a new fuel pump...

I have bought some gear from him but I certainly wouldn't buy a fuel pump there.  I got one from a local guy for $46 and it is good.  What I like about getting a very common pump is that if you need to replace it by the road side as I did they are easy to get, mind it still wasn't cheap at an auto shop in a small town but at least it got me going.
With a pump for the Ks all you need is that it will pump the pressure and volume required and fit into the right place, after all the Bosch L jetronic was the very common FI system for many years and then the motronic which used the same pumps but ran at 3 bar as against 2.5 bar for the L jetronic.

The pump from a Ford Falcon EB to EL Sedan will do the job. I bought a vibration damper to take a 37mm pump and used 2 big zip ties to make the whole thing tight.

Rick - Where did you get the vibration damper? My bike did a little "cutout" of power this morning. I was pushing it a bit, running 90-100 mph and I lost spark or fuel for about a second. I seem to hear more buzzing from the pump at startup , so I am thinking I may buy the ford pump (IFP905) and have it on hand if the one I have dies.

From EME http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=vibration+damper
He has 3 sizes and several foam adapters.

Thats a good buy for a 52mm pump and you dont even have to alter the connectors like with some of them

I removed the gas cap assembly, but I am not confident in removing anything inside for fear of dropping and/or being unable to put the stuff back on. What is the procedure to do a remove, inspect, and replace the punp and filter?

Firstly you need to remove the filler from the tank by removing the 4 phillips head screws you see after you lift the filler flap. Undo the 4 screws and lift the filler out.
If you look down into the tank you see the filter which is alloy and 21/2 inches long undo the hose clamp on the end which is to the front of the bike and remove the hose from the filter.
The fuel pump is held in place by a plastic mounting ringFuel pump K100RT Fuel_p10
like this one.
There are 2 tabs which you squeeze inward then lift the pump up out off the mounting bracket. The tabs are located front and back of the ring and the easiest way I have found to get at them is to stand at the left side of the bike facing forward and use your right hand with thumb on the back tab and index finger on the front tab and squeeze them together. They can be a bit difficult but persistance pays. Don't try to undo the 6 small nuts that are visible because you will skin all your knuckles and find that when you finally have them off it still dont come out (dont ask).
Make sure the battery is disconnected because one flash and you're ash and we dont do rescues from the dark side of the moon.
The pump will lift out and there is enough length on the wiring to disconnect it once it is out of the tank.

could be an idea to syphon off a few litres of fuel

but leave some in there... maybe an inch or so whilst doing this . toss that fuel left, after the process  as you will probably have contaminated the fuel with flakes of rubber etc .

put in at least 4 litres of fresh fuel after and fire her up

Could you tell me what size of rubber dampers from Euro Motor electrics goes with this pump.

Ps is this pump smaller in capacity or larger than that sold by

I bought a new vibration damper to take a 37mm pump but you can get a foam sleeve to adapt a 37mm pump to a 52mm damper and a sleeve to adapt a 43mm pump to a 52mm sleeve and also a 37mm to 43mm damper I have used the 37mm to 43mm sleeve and it is a real squeeze to get it all in.
The capacity of the two pumps is almost the same I think the OEM type has a slightly lower capacity from memory but I cant find the figures on them.

did  some measurement of the stock pump it is 52mm.

the falcon ford pump from Australia is 42 mm.

i now have to source for the foam that can withstand the fuel and not disintegrate,

I couldnt find a 42mm rubber foam to fit a 52mm size  rubber dampers from Euro Motor electrics .I will need that to go with the Australian ford falcon pump .
cheers

Now I'm really confused
Somehow I got the idea that the fuel pump was external on the 1988 K100
So it's internal then
(we haven't laid eyes on the bike yet and the owner is not too responsive but we'll get there)

Ford Falcon seems to be popular

Thanks a lot guys.

It is internal. Any fuel pump that is capable of delivering 2.5 bar (35 psi) and flowing 12 litres per minute will do the job.
The Ford Falcon EA to EL sedan will do the job but is smaller in diameter, the VL commodore is also OK and is the right diameter but a different type of filter and the fiat pump is exactly right.

The pump puts out 6 Bar thats 90 PSI

The pressure regulator sets the pressure where it needs to be, 36 psi I think

It looks very much like the external one that Guzzis use

The standard K pump delivers a head pressure of 60psi. FPR brings the operating pressure down to 36psi
