Thirty ( 30 ) units were equipped like this. Wonder where they are? BMW dealer Tom Byrne had them.
You guys would have dealt there in the past, what was the dealership like?

Sure do.
It is also for sale Gordo.
Special price.
You come pick it up and I can work out how much you owe me.

Won't be cheap but I am sure at least one of us will enjoy payment.  affraid

Cruising speeds of 140kph? Did the fairing come with radar detector? This is a Sydney based BMW dealer. Where in NSW can you suggest a cruising speed 30kph above the state maximum. Legally.
So are they basically saying it is sh1t as you will never reach its potential?
I know from my ride home with Rick Noah during the floods of 2012 that the buffeting on the helmet was horrid at any speed. 140kph was reached and made no difference as far as I could tell.

I had dealings with them when I bought the bike in 96.
Clutch cable. They replaced it twice before the techie suggest I lube the nipple in the lever to stop it twisting. That was 50,000km ago. Good advice.
Bought a few incidentals along the way. Never had a service or anything that cost actual money so apart from the spares department I am finished.

They were pretty good to deal with.  We bought three bikes there; an R100GS, an R1100R(ex BMW exec) and an R1100GS.

Tom Byrnes moved from the old shop near Central Station to the new place at St Peters.  Wasn't too many years there before the family sold the dealership after Ed Byrne died and it eventually became Procycles.

No, I wandered around the side of the road for 10 minutes then give up. Have taken the one off the RS for now.

Tom Byrne seemed to have a good name from what I heard over here, thanks for the opinions.

Sorry Rossko don't want one but i''l take you up on scones one day. The Krauser is too big for my taste,

has a nice look tho' still very German.

That ebay bike looks good and should be worth that when Bantams are selling for $3000+, sadly,

Knowing what has to be spent checking stuff out few here would pay that much.
