Any suggestions out there as to how to remove the spring from a rear shock assembly?

Lots of big thick cable ties is my preferred method.

I strop the back of my bike down and then cable tie the spring.
Un-strop the bike and remove the shock.

I live life on the edge though.

Charlie!!  Sometimes one can't see the forest for all of the trees! You know me...if there's an easy way and a difficult way, for some reason or other I take the difficult way.

Thanks, mate...worked a treat.
