Need a bit of help here, having now fitted my knew electronic speedo with everything, it has confirmed what I've suspected for a long time, 8500rpm = 85mph, crap!!! Here are the details 8000rpm divide by 5th gear 1.666 =4819rpm on shaft divided by diff 3.2 (confirmed ratio) =1506rpm rear axle, tyres are 205/70 R14 = 2.02m circ. =3042m/min = 182.5kph = 113mph. The only thing I am going to confirm now is fifth gear ratio simply by rotating the engine 10 times in 5th and counting shaft revs. In the mean time has anybody heard of anything simiar i.e special gearboxes????

Get a copy of K-diag from the forum (the link points to the post with the ZIP file). K-diag is a great K-bike gearing simulator. Play with it to confirm your suspicions.

Hi all, thanks for that, however it turned out much simpler, i had not set the new digital clock speedo/rev gauge properly, I should have set it to two -ve pulses in stead of one to accomodate the wasted spark system. Have to do some more tuning now to get the power/revs up.
