Started working on my toy a year ago september just to get it ridable and clean it up later. Working in a covered garage with no heat and open ventilation ducts to allow the minus-oh-my-gosh wind to further chill the bike. Had to brush the snow and ice away more than once! Thank the stars I'm single, brought most of it up to the apartment and reworked most of the stuff there. Girlfriends tend to get a little finiky when they try to have a shower with the front fork assembly in the tub! (Girls just don't understand us sometimes, I guess Guys are really from Mars!) Anyways, rebuilt the brakes, forks, new tyres, and a deep clean brought the old girl back up to safety, just looked a little rough. Many dark nights (sun sets at 1630L here in midwinter!) frozen fingers, and muttered cursing, but what a blast! Only down side is when you slip a wrench, knock your frozen hands and don't realize you're bleeding all over the place until 10 minutes later. Wouldn't change the experience for anything, sneaking parts up at 2am with a huge grin on my face, keen as anything to start cleaning and prepping it for summer. Hmmm, better start looking for a new project soon...

Yes, it's a bit difficult to understand in what conditions we are working in CDN. (Don't worry guys, our offices and factories are heated!)
Winter is sooo long and when spring approaches, we get the fever and HAVE to work on the bike. No matter what, it has to be ready for the first nice day!
