Can't remeber the poem or the poet, just the opening line per the title. Anyway, having washed the bike (no I'm not selling it I must go down to the sea...! 167893) I couldn't resist taking a couple of snaps of the bike against the backdrop of a moody sky over the Irish Sea and Courtown Harbour on the phone/camera.

That is one nice bike 88
John Macefield or

Spike Milligan
I must go down to the seas again
The lonely sea and the sky
I left my shoes and socks there
I wonder if they're dry

Thanks K freak, I'm sure it was the Macefield words I was trying to recall but the Milligan version sits better with me now!

Thanks Blakey. I can't really go at the bike till Feb and I've been contemplating a colour change, I've even considered red! Jury is still out.

A vote will be taken on the colour of the bike and Blakey has been appointed the neutral referee. Just like in the Phillippines many years ago...you will keep voting until you get it right.
Nice bike...better in red.

Just to show you all that I am not "it's gotta be red", I do really like the colour of your bike 88KE, the way it is now.
