Hi I am new here, just bought a very nice 1989 K100 LT with 49.000 km on the clock. The bike has been well maintained, but the upper connection of the engine protection bars have been fixed directly into the glass fibre fairing, which means that I now got a crack in the fairing....Sad I understand that I need a rod to fix the protection bar into the frame, but so far I have been unable to locate such an item. Any advise? I'm from Denmark and can't wait until spring time to ride the Bimmer! Btw, how do you upload photos?

Cheers

Finn

The neighbourhood welcomes you to the forum!
A lot of knowledgeable lads in here..........nice place to be a member as an old K owner.

This link might answer your questions.
You are gonna need parts from 4 to 9 if I understand your post correct (and if it`s genuine bars).

Welcome to the forum Sensei. I am sure you will find a solution for all problems K here and BTW a Bimmer is apparently a car and a Bike is a Beemer. Don't ask I don't know why I just ride them. scratch Fixing engine protection bar 8157
