On Wednesday my friend and I will embark on a month long tour of the United States starting in Atlanta. Looking forward to seeing Yellowstone, The Bonneville Salt Flats, Yosemite, The PCH, Grand Canyon and loads more. Can't wait to see it all and meet loads of folks. I'll be riding my new (to me) 1990 K100 LT. It's my first bike and I just had it lowered so I can actually ride it (Boxerworks in Athens, Georgia is a legit shop).

We'll be filming and taking pictures the whole way. You can follow us here: http://kcgiessen.com/mototrip2012.html

If anyone has any suggestions on replacing a side mirrors on the fly, let me know as I won't have time to address it before we leave. One mirror is cracked and the other mirror wobbles horribly.

Anyone near our route is welcome to ride along if you have the time. We'll be in Gatlinburg, TN, Mammoth Cave, KY, and St. Louis Missouri, and all throughout Illinois this week if anyone is interested.

Cheers and Happy riding!

If the wobbling is the mirror itself (not the shell), use a piece of dum dum.
This is a soft non-hardening caulking material use by autobody shops (any autobody shop will sell you a strip for 50cents or a $).
You just stock a little ball on the corner of your mirror and it will be stabilized.
If the shell is moving, just pop it out of the fairing, and pry the little springy tabs.

Here is a post about mirror repair

Thanks for the side mirror tips, I can swing that!

What about crash bar resources? My right crash bar rubber broke off and BMW would take too long to ship the part. Right now, the bar is just kind of hanging there. Not a deal breaker, but I definitely think about it.
