LOL!!!

I have to admit that I never looked at my RT as a potential theft target.  So many nice sport bikes and v-twins around that are so much more attractive to the sort of person who does that kind of thing.  Heck, I leave the key in her to avoid losing it when I park.

On the other hand, there does seem to be a rash of cappuccino conversions going on of late...

Sagi on the forum here had a rather nice K75 which he brought from his father, rode it from Vienna to Cork and came out with us a few times.

Someone also tried to steal that one locally and messed about with it. Fortunately they didn't get away with it and perhaps it's one time we should be thankful for the complexities of the wring.

Sadly he too gave up the Ks as I was at a friends house recently and saw it up on his workbench, sold at the time for €600 with new tyres and lots of other goodies like plastics in top order.

For the money that one is going for I would go for it.

A good theft deterrent is to ground (with a hidden switch) the water sensor temperature: The one going to pin #10 of the FI computer. The EFI interprets this as a overheated engine and will prevent it to start. Very Happy
