Does anyone know if theres Foot boards available specifically for the K100s, were they an optional extra from the factory? I've looked far n wide and could only find a Cheapish set of Universal FBs from Thailand, they may have to do in the end. Cheers Boxer.

+1 with you Klompy,
at times it enters my mind that the pegs are just needing that bit more, but probably not too practical given the hindrance of the lower fairing on your LT.
and I can't imagine a comfy resting position as your feet are slightly rear of your knees.
unlike the goldie with forward foot positioning.

The usual reason for wanting/needing footboards is because feet get a bit sore without the support that boards give. Some think they look really cool and if that is the reason you lost me but I have found that wearing boots with a really stiff and thick sole helps a heap and you dont need to have a heel toe setup either.
I honestly dont think foorboards would be very successful on a K as they would need to be futher forward to have benefit and then that means they have to go a lot wider which causes brake and gearchange connection problems but if he is prepared to do the work required then who am I to say no don't do it and I would be interested in the outcome.
As for just footboards without the controls that I would not recommend to anybody.

Having been used to the R75's peg position, it took me alittle while to feel comfortable on the K100's peg position & the far different and limited seating position. A mates '76 FB Model Guzzi was factory fitted with boards n' he loves em for long touring, I think the K's footpeg rubbers are great, spongey, and with that flat surface area = more comfort, compared to the 75's round, hard foot pegs, on a long tour you begin to appreciate those small differences.

I would never go the route this guy has, but he has fitted up footboards, some mods needed though.
