So here's the thing.
Have just removed my second aerial mount...cracked, so am obviously not fitting it correctly.
This is it...

and thanks to A&S Cycles...

So my question is what goes between the base and the surface of the fairing ie one or two washers or ?

There's a rubber cup style washer between the plastic base and the fairing paint.

(The animated GIF in your signature is missing the "wasted" spark at the bottom of the stroke.)

Thanks for that.
It seems to be missing on mine so that explains why it's cracking.
I will have a look in the "spares" box
