Hi, just joined. I'm a recent returnee to K100 biking - had an RT up to about 5 years ago and got the bug again earlier this year, ending up with a 1991 LT that has definitely seen better days! It has a number of problems, mostly electrical, but also including a front disc that has 11 cracks in it (which I didn't notice when I picked it up and which the previous owner somehow forgot to mention). So I'm looking forward to some support and help (maybe commiseration too!) from the forum. Currently living in Biggar.

There's plenty of help to be had on the forum for all your problems and it's mostly delivered with good humour too (and sympathy when needed!). Perseverance is the key to working on a 23 year old bike - especially one that has been neglected at times. However, parts are reasonably easily to come by, although he price tag of things like front discs (ABS ones?) may make you faint.

The effort is worth it once you are out and riding - you have some great riding on your doorstep and, just a rain drop away from you, some very sociable and active members on yon Emerald Isle (see rides section for their up coming activity).
