.75 posted about his Rescue Kit. I keep all the parts beside the ones I carry in one of two drawers in my garage. As per .75 some things would be hard to describe to the exalted one. So in order to simplify things I have decided to bag and label everything and to make it  absolutely fool proof I'll take pictures of all the parts with my phone. If needed I'll send the name of the part along with a picture of the part and it's location in my collection.

Martin, that was my original thinking, but sometimes the part you think you need isn't actually the one that is bad.  By having them boxed and ready to go I am pretty much covered in any eventuality.  After I get the bike running, I can take the box to the post office and mail the parts I didn't use back home.

The USPS Flat Rate boxes are really handy when touring.  I usually do my touring in late October to early November when my seasonal job has ended and I know the Summer tourists are back in school or at their jobs.  This means that riding in Canada or the northern parts of the U.S. can be a little frosty requiring layers of fleece, heavy socks and insulated gauntlet gloves. 

I plan my trips so I'm doing the colder part at the start and then going to the warmer parts for the return leg.  When I get out of the colder area I will box up all my bulky warm clothes and ship them home so I don't have to carry them with me.  Travel as light as possible!

.75 I'm probably being over cautious and in the twenty plus years of owning Izzy she has never failed to get me home. It came close once early in my ownership with a bad temperature sensor connection which took me a couple of hours to work around. I didn't learn my lesson and didn't clean it properly afterwards. A few years later it happened again which was a quick fix and when  I got home I cleaned it properly. The starter relay has stuck twice so after the second time I fitted and isolation switch. It hasn't stuck since fitting the switch. A few flat tyres, none in the last 10 years all an easy fix except for a partially torn valve stem on the front tyre. I limped home on tyre sealant. 

      In our group of K Kronies, only four break downs that I can think off, two clutch cables  and one a faulty fuel pump relay on a 16v bike on which I rigged up a bypass using a jumper wire.  The only Brick that failed to get home was on the last Kane Toad Rally. SSD split off from the main group which had three mechanics in it to visit rellies. He failed to proceed at one stage on the way home and couldn't diagnose the fault. However a guy pulled over and offered to go and get a trailer and trailered him and the bike home. The  trip was over 400 Ks return no charge he just paid for the fuel. Turned out he had popped a fuel line in the tank.  We have clocked some serious K's up in all types of weather mainly hot. I do carry heaps of spares that I've never needed any except for two clutch cables for mates Bricks.

I always worried about what to do if my K broke down when I first started riding it back in 2018.It only happened 3 times.Two times the fuel pump fuse blew.The first time it was an easy fix with a fuse from a gas station,it did the same thing a year later but this time there was actually a problem causing the fuse to blow.I made the 5 miles home on a stronger fuse  ,with the help I received here I bought a  Fuse circuit tester and discovered the pump was drawing way to many amps.Put in a new pump and now travel with the tester .I had a clutch cable break a week after hitting this really deep pot hole at 70 MPH causing me to go into a tank slapper that damn near got me killed on the Long Island Expressway .I think the bike saved my life that day ,any other bike would have gone down and the idiot riding 3 feet behind me wanting to go 80 would have flattened me out like road kill. I guess all that severe back & forth of the front end stressed the cable 'cause it broke in the middle not on the ends. These were the only break downs I have had in the 20,000 miles I have put on the bike since 2018.She's a very reliable motorcycle and I think this holds true for most K 's . I just carry fuses  all the time and a spare fuel pump on long trips .She always made it home on every ride I have gone on thanks to the guidance and knowledge I received here at this great group. So now another season begins.Had her out the other day after a 3 month sleep .Started right up and ran like she was running an hour ago so now I no longer worry about break downs much.
