Hi guys,
Once again, I'm in need of an ABS control unit for a '92/93 K1100. I'm pretty miffed at having to try and find another unit.
I've had a diagnostic unit on it and seven flashes of the light confirms it's the control unit at fault.

Does anyone have an ECU they'd be prepared to part with?

Thanks,
Mike.

Hi Mike, is yours ABS 1.5 ?
as I have a spare brain which I  know works.  I want to keep it as a spare, but you are welcome to pop over and try it on your bike and see what happens.
I am not far from you at J28
Bob.

Hi Bob,
Thanks very much for your kind offer but I've just checked and my bike has a 2.5 ecu so I'm presuming that's what I'll need.

Regards,
Mike.

This can be expensive/annoying.

I had my 2.5 unit fixed by our Japanese friend Tosi-san and it worked perfectly for about 18 months - then water got into it... It caused enough damage that I could not send the unit back again.

After looking closely at the abs unit it seems that water can only get in through the holes for the two self-tapping screws, one at each side of the connector, which hold the end on the case. On my next unit I intend to seal these very carefully.

I sent mine off to Tosi last week.
Thanks for the tip about the water getting into the plastic body. I'll be sorting that potential problem before it goes back on the bike. ABS control unit needed-again!! 112350
