have had the injectors out on a K100RT - after much grunting and cursing !- but they don't seem to be going in far enough when i put them back. If I screw the fuel rail down tight does this seat the injectors properly. It seems to me they are still leaking slightly. Do I then have to adjust the bypass screws separately to get the bike idling smoothly ?

Use some Vaseline on the O-rings and put all 4 into the rail, put the clips on then put them into the head. You should feel a very positive seating of them then put the screws in to hold them in place.

I just put motor oil on the O-rings.

Install them on the fuel rail first.

Line them up and tap the fuel rail with a rubber mallet to seat them.

If you don't have a rubber mallet handy then use a small block of wood and a hammer.
