it looks like it was not to be.

My brother-in-law, who was just discharged from hospital yesterday after a triple bypass, has asked to stay with us for the weekend.

He lives in and runs a B&B, so it would have been a busy weekend and he would have gotten no rest there.

Looking out this morning, it is very wet and windy, so it would not have been any fun in any case.

We can always meet up either later in the month, or next month.

I plan on getting out soon anyway, probably with Conan and Richard. Destination in mind is Silvermines etc. So we can post it here and anyone can join in if available.

Happy St Paddy's to any and all. Thanks to a great grandmum who emigrated to Australia, and my dear departed dad's great great granddad, I have a fair bit of the Emerald Isle in my DNA.

I've a coupla Guinness in the back of the ice box saved for an occasion which might as well get snapped open this arvo after a ride. After what's been an unusually snowy Winter we're back to a week of sunshine all around. Yesterday was 16c, today 18, tomorrow possibly 22 or 23. Glad to hear some semblance of a meet up took plave in spite o' the weather.

If drinking more than one does that then make them Guinnai?

Cripes Simon,
you show us a picture like that, and don't even mention the custom K.  Wow, that is a nice piece of work.

Patricks day itself was glorious in Cork, but as I said, i was playing nurse to my brother in law.

Hopefully, we'll get something together soon.

I'm looking forward to hearing from Chris after he gets out of recovery from riding that far on "that seat".

Cheers

Must've got used to the seat, either that or the hypnosis worked.
Bike didn't miss a beat - still can't get over how smooth that K75 engine is. Unlike various pieces of kit (jacket, boots) that decided to fall to bits and required emergency repairs.
Bike seems to like Irish roads - it travels a lot faster in Ireland. Then it dawned on me everything was in km (this really happened - it had been a long journey out there though).
Similar personal failing: I only took UK currency and then realised our properly European Irish cousins use Euros. It's not the first time I've been to ROI either, guess I just wasn't PAYING ATTENTION. Like most Brits, I don't actually deserve to be European.
Good trip and lovely to meet all the folks who turned out on a horribly rainy weekend. Cheers

We went looking for you Saturday as we had evening dinner organised but no one could track you down. We tried the B&B but they couldn't find you. Sunday morning we tried again but you had headed off early. Was really great to see you too.
