After several weeks of effort, yesterday the 92 K75S I bought that hadn't run in five or six years had its first test ride. Not around the block but 540 miles to Crescent City, CA.  Everything works!

Today I'm headed down the best road in the country, the California coast.  Sunny weather expected. I hate it when that happens.

More pictures later in my trip as time and Internet access allows.

'Faith', 'Heaven'
Is there a theme here?

IIRC the only time I did something similar was back in the early Nineties. On the basis of photographs of a part-finished bike I'd been given entry to one of Europe's largest (at the time) custom bike shows. Of course, from that point on nothing went smoothly and I only finished it the night before it had to be on the display stand. The following morning I rode it about 150 miles to the show and it performed flawlessly.

Didn't win anything though Very Happy The competition was fierce but I was quite happy with being thought good enough to be given the entry.
