3 days ago, it was very hot and I was riding in the traffic when the temperature warning light went off on the dash.
I stopped the bike, let it cool down and later continue my trip. No damages have been done, but the bloody radiator fan was cooked.
Because of the sidecar subframe, it took a full day to replace the fan. The reason is that there is no room to tilt the radiator and the fan had to be removed before the radiator can be moved sideways (with a bit of persuation). I got the fan off my solo K75 and it took me only 45 minutes to remove it. Very Happy
As I had to remove the sidecar, I decided to relocate the Fuel Pressure Regulator(FPR).
The 2 main problems with the FPR is its location..... Very difficult to access and certainly in the hottest place on the bike (Right between the air filter canister and the throttle body).
I installed it in front of the throttle body where it could be easier to access it in case of problems.
Note: I left the original one and just plugged the hoses. If needed, I could switch between the new one and the original one in no time.
My K is an RT and in order to remove the tank, at least the bottom fairing has to be removed to access the clamps on the tank's fuel hoses.
Last year, I extended the fuel hoses and electrical connections to be able to slide the tank back without having to disconnect it. This gives me access to the ignition computer as well as the electrical tray.

I used brass barber fittings to connect the hoses together and 90 degrees one for tight turns:

I relocated FPR to the right side under the plastic side cover. Instead of original FPR I connected adjustable one from Ebay, but on cca 3 bars pressure. I think it runs better with slightly higher pressure. 
I isolated fuel hoses with some electrical tubes which squeeze with heat gun. When you have long hoses behind hot radiator it deteriorate very fast, after few months. My opinion is that you need good thermal isolation of fuel hoses.
Consumption with 3,0 bars - about 5 liters on our old coastal road. I didnt check on highway.

Sounds good. Some years ago an old mechanic repaired mine. He also made an adapter with condensation drain to spread the vacuum across all cylinders. Unbelievable improvement.

This is how I bought it. A member posted a picture on the forum and I told him that if he wanted to sell it I would buy it.
A week later I did it. The sidecar was in Florida and the cost to transport it to the north of the USA was over $1,000. I then rode it to Canada.
The shipping cost to Australia would be very expensive and.... the sidecar is on the wrong side for you.

I've seen a few of these relocation photos for the fuel pressure regulator and have wondered why folks keep using cylinder #4 for the vacuum hose.  In most cases using either cylinder #1 or #2 would make a cleaner install with less hose.
