Thank you, BAE. I do manage to fit one word after another until it fills the space. With it, I hope an outline of a picture is painted for the mind's eye.

Motorcycling, and writing about it, is something I've been doing since my teens. I'm 64 now. It's been a diversion from the mundane.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

It's a place I recommend any rider from the rest of North America who needs a dose of third world, but with the usual amenities of comfort (food, fuel, accommodation) right close to home.

The worst part is that I could have done the trip with an acquaintance who rides the peninsula every couple years photographing the harbors along the Pacific coast.  He is intimately familiar with the area, has many contacts and speaks fluent Spanish. He also is an Iron Butt rider so is right on my wavelength as far as touring style(long days and high speed between stops).  He's in his 80's now so together with my situation, the opportunity to do the trip probably won't come again.

Hiya Bob! Good to see some of 'the originals' are still around, and glad you enjoyed the show.

The first several days now I'm back home the weather forecast has been ominous, with sideways rain, heavy mountain snow, ice, hail, and short but intense gusts of wind all round. Fortunately, there hasn't been any snow or ice sticking down in the valleys or along the Puget Sound of Western Washington state where I live. It's all up in the hills above a coupla thousand feet elevation. It's what I'd escaped early on in the month, and is a far cry from the relatively placid and mostly fine temperatures of the Baja peninsula.
