Very impressive. Have you ridden at night yet? Is there a glare or distracting light from the clocks?

Are THESE the exact bulb you used?

wouldn't you have had the same effect if you would have taken the green socks of the bulbs?

I do not understand the question.

Incandescent lamps have a green paste on your lamp if you remove the rubber green color is very yellow, green gum that covers the little lamp light passes. And you can not put on new lamps.

Once again.... did you ride at night with this new "Christmas tree" ? In my mind, it is too glare to be functional and should be very annoying. I am in the process of doing the same thing. My first test was to remove the green caps from the bulbs and for me, it is too bright. I have ordered some LED today (not expensive) :

http://www.lightexports.com/servlet/the-406/2pcs-1-LED-T10/Detail

I will post the results as soon I receive my order.

Please do Ivorg57. I'm very interested in this upgrade as my clocks are too dim at night.

Yes but.... Minimum order for international: $40
I do understand the hassle of shipping internationally, but 4 LEDs for $40 vs 8 for $11 (shipping included) is a big difference. A bubble wrap envelop is all what's needed for the shipping.
I am waiting for the report of my bro (LVog57) to select a solution.
What I want to resolve is the condensation in the instrument pod.

It certainly took care of any and all moisture problems I was having CF although I did also do a crude venting setup on the back plate...

The article I wrote way back on changing the bulbs to Leds and sealing the pod took care of my condensation problem permanently. Plus the illumination level is perfect for the darkest night - no glare.

If you think it's very light might result you get with these LED is the one you want.

For me the result with the LED you have asked is very poor.

And even poorer in blue
