Hey everyone, I happen to have my injectors from my '91 8V K1 on the bench so checked the numbers - 0280 150 716. These don't match with anything mentioned so could someone enlighten me as to what I have, other than the obvious being they are different. No idea the history of this motor but maybe the K1 came with slightly higher flow injectors...

First K1 is a 16V and not a 8V....these injectors was used on the 16V models up to 08/90.

Sorry Inge, a typo on my behalf. You are quite correct, my K1 is a 16V. Me bad. I was doing a bit of maintenance on my old K100RS today and got all messed in the head - again

just to add. There's actually not a lot of difference between the 210 and the 705 from what I can make out. So imo if you wanted to swap 210 with 705 or visa versa I don't think there would be too much problem.

Woodcutter. There seems to be a bit of debate about 4 hole injectors being used in our K-Bikes. I contacted that ebay supplier a while back to get the oem#... they are #415.  As far as I can make out they run at a different operating pressure and when used in our K-Bikes can run a little lean. I doubt you will notice any difference other than because they are reconditioned or new, your machine may run a little smoother because they are 'flow matched'. However, you might notice a bit of over heating due to the leaner fuel mix. So in actual fact they are not really an upgrade as proclaimed imo. Some have installed an adjustable FPR so that the fuel pressure can be ramped up a little to compensate. Have a read of this.

My input on the 4 hole injectors:

I've tried them in both 2V and 4V Ks. Results: If there is any, not enough performance impact to register on the ole butt dyno. Mileage not noticeably different either.

If you do some poking around, you'll find this is a popular mod on Jeep forums for some reason.  However, despite LOTS of Googling I was never able to find any real dyno results on the four holes. You'd think if there were any real performance impact that somebody would post dyno results to prove it.

My conclusion: It is a horizontal "upgrade." Getting the old ones refurb'd is probably a better (and slightly cheaper) investment.
