As my bike is a bit multi-coloured I was planning on a respray but talking with a friend he suggested vinyl wrapping. My question is has anyone had it done on their bike or knows of it being done?

Nope......

Have seen it done on VW vans mind, I am not to sure how well the curves of the bikes would work with it.... But then in the right hands I am sure that they would be able to do a very good job.

One thing to keep in mind is scratches and dinks from stones can't just be polished out or a quick touch up from a paint pen.

Klopmy posted a pic of a stealth coloured RT the other day - it looked vinyl wrapped to me. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Edit: Here it is...

The matt finish does look like a vinyl finish, the price should be cheaper and I am told I could drop the parts in the morning and pick them up later the same day. The original paint is not effected so you could revert back to original or easily change to a different colour if I got bored with it.

Twincarb, I think you could just get the part re-done if it was badly chipped.
