Hi to all. Have owened a R1200gs foor the last 5 years. I have now got hold of my late brother inlaws K100LT. She is in a sorry state. As she has been off the road for 8 years, and is complete all but the L/H mirror back (anyone got a spare). Hoping to bring her back to life as soon as funds allow.

Ride Safe All.

Ed

Hello and welcome edGSer.

you can actually find a lot of cheap spare parts for the K100 (naked, LT and RT share quite a lot of common parts)
Best sites for spare parts are IBMWR.org, beemerboneyard.com. and Motobin.uk

Good luck

Bert

Hi Ed,
Welcome and hope you get her back on the road, these K's are real classics and will start to go up in value before too long, look at the K1 they are getting quite rare now as collectors snap them up.

Just to chage the oil, some rubber parts which probably crckle (especialy the "S" one between engine and air filter, ) and fill the battery... it should work!!! after that, take care of the brakes and weels. Thoses bikes are unbreakable!

Hi Ed,
Fluids and filters is the mantra to chant. Change all fluids and filters end to end on the bike together with putting premium fluids back in and you are well on the way to resurrection of your mighty K!
Regards,
K-BIKE
