Hi Folks,

I will be picking up my new to me '91 K100RS later this afternoon.  I've been researching this bike for a few months now, fell in love, and came across a great deal.  I'm pretty excited...kinda feels like xmas in the summer.

My girl has 73k miles on her and comes from a motorcyclist who took good care of her.  I'll post up pictures to show the condition of her.  I think I scored at a price of 2500.00.

I'm going through the fun, as with any other new to me bike, of finding what would be the best tire at a good price.  Let the thread sifting begin.

Happy Friday All,

Tony

Welcome Tony. You have chosen wisely and have a great model but I will admit to being biased.  A great forum with all the help needed and some good laughs as well.

Welcome to the forum and of course you will enjoy it.

You are of course expected to travel to Ireland!

Its Father's Day here on Sunday and I reckon most of us have offspring to send us a Fathers Day greeting. Most of us because you haven't encountered Becky yet.......but you will.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.  I actually reported inaccurately, I have a '91 BMW K100RS.  Happy Father's Day to the Dads out there.

I'm looking forward to familiarizing myself with my K100.  I had to assure my Triumph that I still love her but I have to say, riding my BMW home from the purchase left me with a big grin.

Funny enough, rush hour traffic was averaging 70-75mph.  I was humming along with other vehicles that were going a bit faster when a moto-cop pulled up next to me to tell me to pull over (he came up quick because I didn't see him in my side views).  I apologized explaining I had just picked her up and didn't realize that I had reached the speed I was at.  The officer was pretty cool assuring me there was no need to apologize (as he seemed interested in my girl) and wouldn't be writing me up.  He let me go with a warning.  First ride and I get pulled over.  IMO, a great start with my girl on Friday the 13th.  Smile

I am in love.

Take care all...and thanks again for the welcomes!

Tony
