NO,NO........you're supposed to use screws.  Smurfette - The bike - Page 2 723598
But using a nail gun is just so easy
You need stainless steel nails to cope with the weather exposure.

May be so, but i have never used that support, and after 80000 km the exhaust havent cracked yet,

Missing a wiring diagram for the 1100

Any ideas what this does?
What the grey wires are?
My dash turned off when I unplugged the two orange connectors.

My front brake light switch does not work (was working before clutch job).
Any connection?

That is the plug for the ignition switch. Should be 4 wires Red, Green, Grey/Blue and Grey. Thr gray goes to a fuse then to the green/black which is power feed to the front and rear brake light switches among others.
Send me your email address and I will send you a circuit.

OK. So finally got the parking light issue sorted.

What a pita that orange plug is.
The male pin is well hidden and has 4 tiny tangs holding it in place.
Been trying for two weeks to get it out.
Finally managed to pull the innards out of the plug to expose most of the male plug and from there a heavy handed pair of pliers coaxed them from their hole.

Front brake light switch is kaput.
Will have to get a new one.
It is a pull apart switch so tomorrow it is off to the shop to get some d'EOx-It and spray that little bugger.
So now I need a kit for the front brake.

Oh and not sure if anyone remembers, but I related a story about the front reservoir glass to a few recently. Available from Motorworks as a non OEM part. They are now available at Munich. $40 for the glass and $8 for the O ring. He must have made inquiries after I rang him.
Also had the fuel tank on the floor for two weeks and the weight on the rear line was enough to fatigue it to the point of leaking.
So a new fuel line as well.
