No. I adjusted it so it moves 4 mm before I can feel something engaging in the GB.

As mentioned I can feel that the arm doesn't engage the first 5 mm or so, when it is moved. So I'm guessing I have my free play.

So all I need you all to check is if your arm on the GB starts moving as soon as you press the handlebar or if you can press your handlebar 4 mm BEFORE the arm moves.

Boot is not a technical term. A boot is a flexible protective cover worn over something. Usually the term refers to a heavy shoe worn over a person's foot. Sometimes the word means a flexible protective cover usually made of rubber or vinyl placed over a mechanical part that allows movement of the part. You've had a couple of diagrams posted showing you where the boot is; now here's a photo.

Ha, ha sorry if I'm being annoying but seriously a boot is something I put on my feet when I go to work (I'm a infantry major).

I could probably write hundred military terms (humor me and call them technical) that you would have no idea what the meaning was, if you went to a weapons forum and asked a question and I answered.

Point being if you know you know but that doesn't mean the rest of us have a clue (that is why I join a forum and am patient and Keep on asking till I understand).

But I apologize if I offended any one, but seriously you might find it logical but it doesn't help me 😏 so I ask again, and again till I understand.

By the way thanks for the super picture. Makes everything much more easy.

PS the boot, as you call it, would be a rubber cover/protector in my world.

I'd like to think that we are a patient lot here on this Forum and we understand that know one knows everything (we have our doubts about Inge).

English is not a strong point for some here, so we try our best to get the message across and I don't think anyone is annoyed.

If we can have a bit of a laugh along the way, then all the better!

Excatly and that is how all forums should work. They are there to help the un-knowning and make them able (in the future) to be wizer and help new un-knowning.

Nej da sådan tænker vi skandinaver slet ikke 😂

Any way even though the city had its first salt-truck out here in Denmark this early morning I rode my K1100 to work today (as I've been doing almost every day since Marts).

Clutch worked fine and feeling in the handlebar was perfect.

They are talking about slippery roads again tomorrow morning but I'm taking the bike.
