Yes, they are 70mm.  The stock flat ones are rather boring.  I usually put "3-D" roundels on my Ks.

The BMW 3-D ones are part 51142328269 but those are rather spendy.

The factory flat ones for K tanks are 46637686746 and still not too cheap.

Plenty of knock-offs on ebay for less though.  Just search for "70mm bmw"

Yes, K bike tank badges are 70mm.  BMW gets stupid money for them.

Found these on ePrey, they're half of what the dealer gets:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-BMW-Airhead-70mm-Gas-Tank-Badges-emblems-r90s-r90-6-r100rs-r75-6-r75-7-r60-6/202436224970?hash=item2f2223a7ca:g:yDgAAOSwHShbmq0w:rk:14🇵🇫0

Wipe the tank with rubbing alcohol on a clean rag before you stick them on.

Here's what the 3-D ones look like. The chrome rim around the edge is raised and the roundel is slightly convex.

Silly question - what's the difference b/w these tank badges and similar 70mm emblems that go on wheel covers?
Aka: https://www.ebay.de/itm/ORIGINAL-BMW-Nabendeckel-Aufkleber-70-mm-3er-5er-6er-7er-36136758569/173608756880
From what I see they are both just stick on patches?
