I’m converting my K100 with a 1992 K1100 Motronic (External ignition module) including the Throttle body.
Since the Motronic Wiring is mostly stand alone this was fairly simple. Here my questions:
1. Are the hall pickup the identical between K100 and K1100? The plug certainly is the same.
2. The Motronic unit is for an O2 sensor. Would the 92 Motronic throw a fault code when missing the O2 sensor?
If so can the Motronic box internals be changed to the poti adjust. I know that 2 pins are different

Not a good idea. Motorbike Mike (whom I haven't seen on here for a while) looked at doing just that for his JJ Cobas replica racer, but found that the moronic was fueling way too rich through the midrange.

You gonna need all the electric hardware on the engine from the K11 too.

Hall is the same Smile

there are 4 sensors Airtemp, Thottle position, and Water temp. I have all these from the k1100.
The question was directed to the fault codes and O2 sensor.

I am using the later, non-separate ignition box, K1100 Motronic, 35mm TBs, TPS & etc., on a K1200 engine (Big Block project) and first go tried using it without O2 sensor. In the end it finally idled stably and accelerated more smoothly when I welded in a threaded bung and installed the O2 sensor. Mileage per tank went up, too.

One caveat being the TBs are not mounted against the cylinder head as stock but are 110mm up under the tank on stainless steel intake sleeves with K&N pods on each.

Search 'Big Block' on the forum's search gadget, main page. It's mostly all there, a long read.
