Ok Here we go. How difficult is it to rebuild the brake calipers on these things? Rolling Eyes Took it to work and rear brake felt spongy. Had bled it Sunday. so when I came out from work I noticed the Rear rotor had a dark stripe around it. Brake issue 8157 There is no fluid around the fittings or anything. Has to be a seal.
Now i need to fix it before 6/3. I don't want to go to the BMW rally in a ford truck! affraid

Thank you
Bill

Get a used replacement.  Rebuilding calipers is a hit or miss proposition, mostly miss.

Also, check the master cylinder.  I have had miserable luck with them, too.  That's where all my rear brake problems come from.  Two hours and 15 bucks will replace it with a much better one from covid land.

Hey .75, Thanks for the reply. I have done the Ebay thing and not coming up with much. Did a google search. Not much. Did euro moto electrics not much. Gonna check with Bob's BMW. They sell used parts maybe that will pan out. If you have any suggestions on a place to get one I am all ears!

Thanks
Bill

If that you is not a specific you but rather a general you, and a suggestion meant for eyes instead of ears doesn't disqualify it, you could consider the 2V offerings here. Smile

I did get one off of ebay. Got it for 35 shipped. Should be here by the 18th. Looked to be in good shape. Took the old one off and it is ugly. Agree that this is the way to go. Now to get all the fluid out of the holes in the rotor. Laitch, The you was not specific. Smile

Thanks again for the help
