Good evening everyone,

Not long since signed up, after speaking to one of the other new members in the area who pointed me in your direction.

I'm now the fairly proud owner of a K100 RT, although it has been molested by a previous owner into more of a survivalist style single seater. I managed to drop lucky though, as it was bought for the princely sum of 205 GBP as a non-runner, and after charging the battery and giving it a gallon of fresh unleaded, it was a runner. 75000 miles on the clock, and by the sound of things I've been reading here, it'll easily do that much again.

Hello and welcome. Dont worry about mileage, it could double easily. No fairing on your bike means easier and faster maintenance. A lot of friendly people in this forum, just ask...

Regards

Nice one orose. I quite like the look and that could turn out to be a proper bargain! What are your plans for the bike? Oodles of spares on Ebay and Motobins, Motorworks and James Sherlock are the places that specialise - and all have good websites.

Cheers
Dave

Welcome orose
I must say I'm starting to like the look of these things naked. (I'm of that age where naked machines take precedent, sad isn't it)
That's a good find for you mate, have fun.

No plans right now, as I've got it where I need it - the intention came out of a drunken idea to do a charity ride stupid distances on dirt-cheap bikes, and hopefully that will bear fruit next year. Just need to get used to the things where BMW went their own way to convention now, like three-button indicators

Bike or rider?

Bit of both, but I meant the bike - it's a nice way of describing a deliberately created rat bike, according to the bike magazines over here.
