Certainly doesn't look like it was changed at the last annual service

Well the year is almost over, I've been putting off uncovering the old girl as it's been a bit wet & windy here.
With a bit of sunshine I thought I see if she was game for a laugh.
Lifted the cover clear of the pipes as it's a hassle to re-cover her on my own. I put key in and pushed the green button.....the new battery has held up with months of inactivity and cranked her over then came the familiar whoomph as she cleared her throat and gave her pleasing burble.

I was sorely tempted to take her for a spin but the prospect of getting her across the waterlogged lawn to the gate without sinking up to the rims was too daunting, so back under the cover she went and I retired to the sofa and my bottle of Shiraz.
Happy 2016 to one and all. Suffolk Coastal Owner - Page 2 502531

Bob...that's just Kruelty - bordering on K-abuse.

"months of inactivity", "cranked her over....sorely tempted to take her for a spin", "too daunting, so under the cover she went".

She must have been so disappointed. Hope she forgives you and you get her out and about in 2016.

In my defence, given the supping of the Shiraz, I doubt I could have got her off the stand.lol!

I'm doomed.
Just when I make plans for an outing on the old girl, something comes along and scuppers me.
I had intended to get her serviced, oil & filters and mot when for some unknown reason I was having difficulty in moving her, pains in the arms and chest suggested a visit to the quack was in order, next thing I knew I'm in the arms of a pair of nice lady paramedics who transported me to A&E.
Seems I had suffered a silent heart attack and required a bit of "fettling" around the old ticker, namely the fitting of a few "stents" to my arteries which was carried out the next day.
Back home now but under very close scrutiny by all around me.
Will I be able to ride the old girl again? ..... I'll have to wait till "She Who Must Be Obeyed" has gone out for the day, I don't want to part company (with the bike) although her servicing will have to wait now as my professional driving licence has been suspended pending medical tests so no job for a while.
Hey Ho

Simples!

That K just saved your life because it exposed the silent heart attack.

When, not if but when you are back at it then enjoy it. My brother got caught just like that and it saved his life too. He just happens to be a paramedic. His attitude was that it was a bit like getting a rebore, just run it in again and then just take things a bit easier and more exercises.

While you are recovering and avoiding too much might be a chance to fettle a few things, polish her up etc.

I managed to get my pro licence restored for another three years but decided its better that I should retire rather than risk other peoples lives
. The bike sits there teasing me but now my hip has succumbed to arthritis and lets me down without warning, (it had to be the left) I'm tempted but knowing me I'll forget and put the wrong foot down and drop her.
May be time to fit kiddie stabilizers on the back, fit a sidecar, or (heaven forbid) become a pillion  affraid

I did have a Wing & Chair back in the day and loved flying the chair, never ridden a trike tho........but I did bite the bullet and had a sneaky ride today, just around the back lanes, seems if I can come up with a way of deploying the side stand without using my foot I've got it sussed.

Sadly my health has deteriorated so I reluctantly have parted company with the old girl, her original owner has bought her back and I have a X9 scooter to keep me on two wheels. The new user is winterhawk and has just registered on the forum. Thanks for all your assistance in the past

Regards Bob
