Picked up an 88 K100RS for $0.00. Was parked up in a shed for the last 5 years and in a rather sad state.
It is a runner, which surprised me as it hadn't been turned over for at least 4 years. But the engine is the best part by far!
The poor thing has been crashed and lost its fairings, left hand foot peg and mount smashed, broken gear lever, bent forks (very slight) to name a few things!
I'm not planning on trying to restore it but make a naked bike that is a comfortable daily ride.
I ride a Aprilia Falco and it does not like the daily commute in traffic. Its fine while the traffic is flowing but get stuck in jam and the temp goes through the roof, clutch gets heavy and becomes a general pain in the butt.
I test rode a K75 about 12 years ago and it was smooth and handled this sort of thing really well. I didn't buy it because at the time I thought it was umm..... boring. How things change eh?
Not a lot of work happened so far due to work commitments but about to kick into over the next couple of weeks.
I have picked up a Motoco single seat in mint condition and still not sure if I will use it or not but its different so for that reason alone it may stay.
