Hello everyone! My overheat warning light turned on when I got caught in the rain. The temp gauge is just above the 1/2 mark but the overheat light doesn't turn off. The bike is running fine. Will this cause any problem with the computer system of the bike? How/where to check to turn off the warning light? All help is greatly appreciated!

I would guess the violet/black wire between the heat management relay
and the bulb is shorted to ground.

Thank you for the reply! I will check that tomorrow. I still drove my bike for 60 miles even with the light on. Will that affect anything?

I now see that you got a 4V model, sorry, then the wire is brown/black and
runs between the warning lamp and the Motronic unit.

Then the easiest way to check...would be to disconnect the Motronic unit and
then turn on the ignition....
if the warning lamp still is on, a short to ground is the problem....
if the lamp goes out, the problem is the Motronic unit.

As you did say you was caught in the rain, I'm guessing a short to ground....
and that your gauge was half way ~about normal...guessing that it's correct.
And if so, it would not make any problem driving with the warning light on.
