Hello from Madison, WI. I'm Tom Nelson, a somewhat retired lawyer and I pilot a red BMW K75RT of 1995 vintage. 

I do my own maintenance as I was a motorcycle mechanic myself in an age long past but not forgotten. This was in the days when we were "mechanics" instead of "techs." (The difference seems to be about $40 per hour in today's pygmy dollars.) I will be reading and responding to technical items with interest. Tom Nelson in Madison, Wisconsin Icon_biggrin

Hi Tom and welcome to the forum....That's a nice machine you have there and of course the difference between tech and mechanic is even greater. The 'mechanic' knows what's wrong, the 'tech' hasn't a clue, consults a computer and hopes the computer knows what's wrong. Trouble is he cant tell when the computer is wrong.

We get some good rides in too and a great way to meet some fellow k owners.

I yam trying to post some pix but haven't figured out how to do it. Is there a help menu on this site? Can someone tell me how to post photos. I have several million from decades of riding.
