Good morning all,
I have heard murmurs of multi point fuel injectors ( four holes ) that bump up the horses by a few and reduces fuel use by a bit .
Can anyone direct me to any information , have any part numbers or contact details for these.
I trust everyone is well?
Nathan.

I did a bit more investigating since we talked about this and so far the only reliable numbers I have come up with is that the OEM injectors are called EV1 and the 4 hole are EV6 the only other thing is that the Mazda/Ford 4ltr V6 engine has the EV6 injectors that are the right ones but I can't find anything to confirm that only the one post about it on the Motobrick forum.

i think a few of us are looking nathan ...might take a little while though ....cost is a concern for some , but given the ingenuity we have here .

would be far easier to install on a 16 valve system as the ecu will cope better than the afm mapping of the 2 valve types if there are different volumetric delivery rates.

Def interested in this re my own 1984 K100RS But can't seem to find a clear answer here or on other threads.
Quite a lot of talk abou the 4 hole Bosch Type 2 injectors and references to Aussie 5litre V8s isn't much help in Europe.

These guys in USA list some refurbished  injectors sets at a good price a clearly list them as suitable for K100
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-K1-K100-K100RS-K100RT-K100LT-318i-Fuel-Injectors-Best-Upgrade-4-Hole-Spray-/200954974548?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2ec9d99154
Seem to be from 84/85 Bmw 318i  (generically known as E30 model type)

This seller lists injectors for that series as Bosch P.n , which is one of the p/n 0280150715, referenced in the first ebay listing

So has anyone done this and able to corroborate the correct Bosch p/n for these upgraded (4 hole) injectors for

I am interested in some clearer answers as well. My 1986 K100rs has been sitting for the last 10 years or so. I had the injectors professionally cleaned. Two injectors cleaned up well and the other two were no good. I'm now on the hunt for injectors. After trawling through the forum and other info, I am now totally confused which is the best way to go.

I believe my injectors are the 0280150210 which are no longer produced. I need some clarity on which injectors best suit my 2 valve K100. Following are some of the injectors that have been spoken about. Which would suit best?

0280150210
0280150211
0280150415
0280150705
0280150715
Or any other option....

Those folks list a city ( Winchester, California, United State) that is about 5 minutes from me if anyone needed boots on the ground or any on site investigation

Thanks Wilcom. Your offer to investigate is a nice gesture.

I must admit, I don't know a whole lot about injectors but I'm currently on a rapid learning curve. The flow rates that this company is suggesting is quite a bit higher than the original injector. I have found flow rates for the originals to be at 43.5 PSI / 3 bar being about 147.9 cc/min and 14.08 lbs/hr. These injectors that the link above is selling are pushing out a fair bit more at 17 lbs/hr and 180cc. I don't understand how this can be a satisfactory replacement.

Those figures don't sound right to me. There's a lot of bull sh!t around about injector flow rates and you get differences from one supplier to another because they're not comparing apples with apples or they got the information off another website who also got it wrong. Just more proof that the internet is broken!

There are two flow rates to take into consideration. There's the flow rate at 'operating pressure' (36.25psi/250kpa) and then there's the flow rate at 'test' pressure (43.5psi/300kpa). Also, in calculating horsepower, the mass of fuel and air is used and not volume because volume can change dramatically with temperature, especially air. Bosch tried to standardize all this a while back but everything gets bastardized.

That ebay listing from the States is a bit deceptive. He doesn't mention which injector # he's selling, only the injectors HE thinks its compatible with. The one he's selling is a 4 hole injector for a 318i which is highly likely to be a #415 which means it for a duel port intake and they're designed to operate at 350kpa. Most of the injector numbers he lists as being compatible are single 'pintle' injectors and operate at a lower pressure.

Read this... 1 Hole Vs 4 Hole Injectors .... it might help to explain a few of the issues.

Another option is finding a set from an old Dihatsu Charade. I've not been able to find flow rates for that one but apparently they work.

Cheers

A lot of information here, I've never used their services though.

Probably not an option for you being in Aus.

That was my line of thinking as well. The injectors he lists don't line up with the specs that the xxxxxxx210 injectors the 2 valve K's had. I think it would be best to find something a bit closer to original spec.

On Aliexpress there are few brands of 0280150211 EV 1 single hole injectors. They say it is for bmw k 1100, some fiat from eighties and renault fuego. Here is a link

Found this....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motor-Man-New-Bosch-Fuel-Injector-0280150715-BMW-13641734776-/291380380746

According to this seller, the 715 injectors have been superseded by the 773 injectors....?

Funnily enough the car that the 773 injectors came out of according to Stan Weiss is a Hyundai 1.5L http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm

Both are extremely similar but designed to operate at 3bar though, not 2.5 Bar. When flow rates are converted to 2.5 Bar, they do get close to the original flows the 210 has I suppose.
