For those interested, the measurements of the new screen are...550mm...length of screen and the same distance between the tank and the top of screen when mounted. Apparently it is the same design as the police bikes of the time changed to when the original screens proved to be too low for the large sized chasers. He normally does not do a dark tint that size, but will fit in with your wishes.

I applied for government grants for R and D for more work on the bike but....no luck. So I went out, spent big bucks and countless hours on the latest modification.

Last week I road tested the design...didn't fall off and I also consulted a committee of K experts...RT and Rickmeister..to give their thoughts.
The material of choice was perspex with a coating of black engine paint.. RT wanted to order one straight away, but I will have to apply for copyright first.

The knee pads did not have that much R&D on them at all. They are el-cheaps car mud flaps, cut down to fit. A bit of silicon and they are on and they do make a difference. The mud flaps had to mature hanging in my garage for about 3 years first. Never ever throw any thing out.

Keep it for seven years and if you don't find a use for it, keep it for seven years and if you don't......you get the idea.

This mod may interest some of us who choose to ride "bottomless" RTs and find our long legs get cramped. The blocks are 35 mm nylon/plastic and placed between the fairing X frame and fairing. Now the fairing is 35mm further ahead and leg room improves. Another side affect is that my windscreen is far away not to cause the noise of wind hitting my helmet.
For whatever reason, I cannot get the photos on the post, will try again later

Feels really good as I am not forced into in the comfort seat...I have a bit more room for movement. Th only other mod was to cut the plastic "liner" or the "skirt" covering between the bottom of the windscreen to the instruments. This was a cutout to accommodate the two top X bars.
